Royal Conservatory of Toronto Wedding | Hannah & Aaron

This joy-filled Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music wedding was definitely one of the highlights of the month, and that’s saying something! From the amazing work done by Melody and Jen to the gorgeous creamy bouquets by The Wild Sage; this wedding was an absolute dream to photograph. Being allowed to photograph the little touches like the handwritten letters from Aaron to Hannah meant so much to me. It was obvious from all those details that Hannah and Aaron’s relationship is about so much more than love. There is a connection between these two that I cannot express. It was that way about the whole, day. Just let me tell you their story…

AN OPENING DOOR

On November 19, 2016, God decided that it was time for these two to meet. And it was a thing as simple as a young man holding the door open for his father that made Hannah take notice. He let his father through the door first and it was that moment… Love at first sight might be an exaggeration, but it was close. Hannah and Aaron met at that function and got to talking. And if you know these two and their ability to debate, you’ll know exactly what that means. From that day on, many an email and even handwritten and illustrated letters were exchanged. It wasn’t long before they couldn’t imagine their lives without each other.

A JOURNEY TOGETHER

This past summer, Aaron proposed to the love of his live and it was no surprise that she said yes. The past few years have not always been easy, but it was with the help of God that this journey culminated into the start of a new chapter. And that took place on this gorgeous winter day in Toronto. Hannah was finishing up her exams in the weeks leading up to this big day, and Aaron started as a chaplain for the city of London. All these changes and stresses has made it necessary for them to give the success of their wedding day over to God. It wasn’t easy, and there were many messages exchanged between me and this gorgeous bride, ensuring that their day went off without a hitch. And that it did.

FROM THE FIRST MOMENT

The moment that Hannah first saw Aaron was carefully planned, with the stunning stone wall of the church behind them. As she called his name, and Aaron turned around to look at his bride, the few members of the intimate wedding party that were witnessed were not the only ones tearing up. It was an emotional moment, but then Aaron broke the tension by going down on one knee. That had us all laughing.

THE CEREMONY AT JARVIS ST.

Before the ceremony began, as photographers we always try to meet all the parents. All four of these sweet people couldn’t have been more excited about this moment in time; especially as it was the first child in both families to get married. Hannah made such a profound statement as she walked down the aisle, and Aaron was quick to reach for her hand as she arrived at the altar. After a simple message of the importance of forgiveness by Pastor…, it was time. In this gorgeous church in the middle of Toronto, Hannah and Aaron looked each other in the eye as they said their vows. The church was utterly silent. They understood the importance and holiness of the moment. If ever any two took this moment for what it really was, an oath before God and man, it was these two.

And when it was all over, and the new Mr. and Mrs. Vegh were walking out of church, Hannah couldn’t help but let out some of the elation about what had just happened. Well wishers hugged and laughed, and the solemnity of the occasion was only outdone by the sheer joy of it!

DREAMS DO COME TRUE

The rest of the day was a blur, from their family photos to the time we realized we actually had access to the Royal Conservatory of Music (it was short-lived because of a misunderstanding, but nonetheless Hannah’s dreams came true). Dusk came early and before we knew it, we were enjoying a delicious meal at the Ramada Inn. The beautifully decorated hall was filled with all the people who loved Hannah and Aaron as much as vice versa. The speeches were filled with moments that showed how much the newlyweds meant to all their guests.

GREAT IS HIS FAITHFULNESS

The final song to be sung at this Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music Wedding was Hannah’s favourite, and as we’d been having a stressful week of our own at home with a hospital admission of our youngest, it was no surprise that even the photographer (me) was tearing up at the lyrics. I can honestly not think of a better way to end this blog post than some of the words to that song. Hannah and Aaron, I hope you may always know of God’s faithfulness. Your wedding day went above and beyond your expectations, as you mentioned in your speech. We hope that with God’s help, your marriage may be the same way. We truly believe that your lives will be used to the glorification of God and hope that we will get to see what the future holds for you!!!

Great is thy faithfulness, great is thy faithfulness
Morning by morning, new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided.
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me.
