I'm Dianne, and welcome to my blog! I'm a wedding and family photographer based in Southwestern Ontario, and I just love meeting people in every stage of life, but have to admit that love stories are my favourite! I'd love it if you'd grab a coffee, snuggle up on the couch, and browse through everything that I've been up to lately, and become a part of this amazing DVI community! You can even get to know me and my family!

This was a very last-minute session, but we were determined to make it work! All the effort that Lydia and I put into organizing the outfits, location, etc. made this Long Point maternity session a dream come true! When Lydia showed up in this dress (that she found at Winners), I knew we were golden! (See what I did there?) Lydia is in her 33rd week of pregnancy, and she looks absolutely amazing. Her husband Josh thinks so too. I didn’t need to wait long for his answer when I asked him if he was excited to be a daddy; a firm “yes” left no doubt in my mind! It was so amazing to hear how these two are getting ready for baby; a completely holistic approach that I envy (I was never able to have a home delivery).
When asked if they were hoping for a boy or a girl, most people answer, “As long as it’s healthy, we’re happy.” Not these two! Of course, they are hoping for a healthy baby and a safe delivery. But Lydia and Josh are both hoping for a boy to start some really great Oosterveld traditions with! Knowing the story behind it all made me fall in love with them even more. To say that these two are planning to put one-hundred-and-ten percent into raising this baby according to God’s will is probably an understatement. It was obvious how much this baby is loved and prayed for. And that made this Long Point maternity session a dream come true not only for them; also for me!
It was not the most beautiful day to have this session. However, Lydia’s pregnancy glow cancelled out any of the little raindrops that threatened to end our session before we were ready to call it quits. We worked quickly but laughed a lot. Getting to put our feet in the water at the end of the session was my highlight of this session. I’m hoping that the memories these two made together was their favourite. Either way, the smiles are genuine, and the pictures are epic (you need to scroll down to see the ones in the lake!)
Josh & Lydia, getting to spend a little time with you was such a gift! Please know that we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers, especially on your travels. And whenever baby Oosterveld arrives, I’d love to pop in to get a little baby fix! I hope you enjoy the rest of this pregnancy, long hair and all (inside joke), and that these images will make you as happy as I’m imagining.
Beach sessions are my favourite!!! See another one HERE!
I’d have to say this is one of my favourite sessions thus far, and shooting at Westminster Ponds in London did not disappoint! Such a sweet young couple, excitedly expecting their first little one. And they’re both so amazing! These two are just made for each other, with their great sense of humour to the way they just adore each other. It didn’t take much coaxing to get these two to hold their kisses a second or two longer, and there was absolutely no need to tell them to smile right afterwards!
Monica is having her baby shower tonight, and I’m sure her friends are going to shower her and her unborn little one with all the love and care in world. Monica, you are such a beautiful mama, and I’m so thankful that I bumped into you at Pt. Burwell. (BTW, I watched this mama catch her first fish ever… LOL. I don’t think I ever caught one!) Just a little while longer and these two are going to start their parenting journey in this crazy place we call Earth. And I’m sure that baby is going to be loved!
Ricky, you are a lucky man! Such a gorgeous wife, and God blessed you with this amazing gift as well. I wish you both nothing but happiness and strength. There will be tough times, but there will be amazing times. Focus on those great times when things get difficult. Because with each other by your side, you’ll get through anything!
BTW, isn’t this location just amazing? I’ve shot a maternity session here before (see HERE), but I sure was excited to go back!!
I had the chance to capture this couple’s growing family a few weeks ago… It was the perfect ending to my month of business. Since then, we’ve been on a trip, but before we left I first wanted to make sure that all of my clients had their galleries. That is why I was up till 1:00 AM the morning of our departure, perfecting this gallery till it was ready to be sent.
Amy is actually a second cousin to my husband, so we’ve known each other for a while. It is super special to capture families who happen to be related to me. And I could also relate a lot to Amy, because while I’m a stay at home mom and she’s a nurse, we both really are interested in the medical field. I have a lot of admiration for her! This is definitely because she works in palliative care. I’m not sure I could.
Amy, you’re going to make a great mom! Of course, you also have a wonderful man beside you who is going to be an awesome dad. I cannot wait for your baby news!!!
I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve blogged! So much has been going on, though. One of the best things that happened in the last few weeks was this gorgeous mama’s maternity session. Paulina is only weeks away from delivering her third baby, and she’s so excited to meet Rowan and Troy’s little sibling! Baby Hansford was a surprise baby, but a very good surprise!
The water was just a little choppy and it was quite windy, but we made do and in the end it was so worth it, because the dress whipping in the wind and the movement in her hair made the images just so much better than I could have imagined! Paulina said she had fun, but I doubt she had as much fun as I did, because… well, you just got to look at the images to know what I mean.
This would have to be one of my favourite sessions at the beach, check out my other favourite HERE!
Now this would have to be my favourite image of the whole evening; so serene and peaceful. Paulina, you’re an absolutely gorgeous mama!
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” Psalm 139:14 (KJV)
At the end of our session, when the sky was this gorgeous range of pastels, Paulina braved the cold water where we got some amazing timeless images that I am super proud of! Paulina, I can’t thank you enough for doing this!!!
Baby Hansford #3, your family is anxiously awaiting your arrival, I can’t wait to hear the good news!
Dress: 37.5 Maternity (purchased at Zulily)
I only met this couple last fall, but immediately we formed a great connection; Janelle and I have very similar easy-going attitudes and our husbands have great senses of humour! When I found out that they were expecting a little bundle of joy, their miracle rainbow baby, I was so happy for them. Shayne will make the most wonderful father, and Janelle is so excited to meet this little one; it’s so obvious! It was wonderful catching up with this couple, especially as it was to document this exciting time in their lives at this stunning location, and I cannot wait to hear their big news; I will likely make the long drive to see them again!
